Saving The Working Boys Home *UPDATE*
Denise Lloyd replied to dippyhippy's topic in Hereford Voice Projects
Yes there were rumblings a little while ago but it has gone quiet lately - should I hear anything I will keep you posted -
If I am not very much mistaken Upton Bishop is Ross way and doesn't our friend Bramer and possibly Jarvis live that way

Peterchurch Police station is one end of the village and Peterchurch Fire Station is at the other end -
Now I wonder who lives down Upton Bishop way!!

Oh don't be such a defeatist Bobby. Your investigative powers and the way you tell a line is far too good to hang up now and especially now. You never know Ffion might just one day offer you a job. Keep tapping I say.

Litter, flytipping, graffiti and other eyesores
Denise Lloyd replied to Roger's topic in Newton Farm
There are lots of children's play areas not being mown. This is forcing young children to play in the streets. Who would want their child playing in long grass - goodness knows what that is hiding. Surely HC are failing on a Health and Safety issue. -

GDJ please where is this letter? "p.s. The chaotic letter section on the Hereford Times website has a letter from Ted Willmott thank us all for our patience - apparently there will be 1100 new jobs! The Hereford Times has given the letter the headline "Headline"" Found it now! http://www.herefordtimes.com/news/letters/11187168.Headline/ -
So how did the shop go? Are you enjoying the spoils of Waitrose and Debenhams? Can't find where you posted that your wife was going for a shop today Bobby
-
Bobby but I thought you were opening some of this thing that is supposed to save Hereford from it's debauched and poverty stricken state. How will you do it when you're not even there?

This was always going to be yet another deal done and dusted before it even reached the eyes and ears of the public.

Yes I was looking at the names of past and present directors of Hereford Futures yesterday. (Well it was raining!) It gets quite fascinating when you see what other connections they have and what other companies they are directors of. Just having a look at one your links Meggieland the names I saw yesterday are on here as well. I must admit Tarrington is a very busy busy place. It is almost incestuous!!

Our very best reporter Bill Tanner has reported that "the future for nearly 5000 acres of farmland and woodland in the county lies with a single councillor". The Councillor responsible for deciding "the future of 50 farmed tenanted smallholdings and woodland divided into 14 separate parcels of land" is none other than the cabinet member for contracts and assets Harry Bramer. Now I wonder how he will handle this one. The cost of appraisal prior to HB making a decision will be £50k.

Probably something a lot of people prefer not to talk about but in the HT today it says that the yellow bag collection has now stopped. These bags containing used pads/human waste etc and reading the article very quickly it looks probable that these bags are now to go in the normal black waste bags. If as we have been told this collection is to be reduced to once every 2 weeks there is a serious concern of a severe health issue especially if the black bags are left out and ripped open by vermin. There is every likelihood that the pavements will have human waste adorning them. Is this really what we pay our council tax for?

Of course if you travel from Colwall to Brockington you do have a slightly rose tinted glass view of Hereford - and with that view all is well with our esteemed leader - bless -
County Offices, Bath Street not worth listing?
Denise Lloyd replied to megilleland's topic in Planning
I am sorry to keep harping on about this but there has not been a satisfactory answer yet. How come the council with all it's man power and wherewithal allowed this building to fall into a state of disrepair and worse than that beyond a state of economic repair. -

I wonder why the Gateway Committee didn't mention the Fire Service move in the 2 sets of Minutes that the public are allowed to read. They mention a new HQ for the police/the bus station/ a huge doctors surgery/Blueschool Street Council offices/The Oval but alas no mention of this travesty. It is almost as if it just suddenly appeared. No doubt the old boy network masterminded this one. So wrong such a crying shame. Let us hope HCS will shake them up a bit. -

Something must have gone a bit astray here Miller Homes have decided to withdraw from this development owing to "strategic business reasons". As per today's HT. -

Where does this person who made this decision live? Not too near Hereford I can bet my bottom dollar on that. -
When and even if the black wheelie bins come into force what happens to the green garden waste bags? Will a separate cart come around or will these not be used anymore?
