Did this story find it's way into the HT. If so I must have missed it. Should the Council manage to pick this ground up for a snip at a mere £1.00 what is it being earmarked for? Full Story Here

Old Market - What's With All The Wood?
Denise Lloyd replied to Colin James's topic in Edgar Street Grid and Courtyard Theatre
Ah well K Butt I am from Kingstone and you may or may not know there is a PA for many houses from Archihaus a very eco friendly sustainable company etc etc etc. They are using quite a lot of wood to clad their planned houses so I suppose it must be eco friendly etc etc. Well that's what we were told anyway. -
County Offices, Bath Street not worth listing?
Denise Lloyd replied to megilleland's topic in Planning
Whilst sitting in the traffic in Blueschool Street which is a said of Hereford I study the Council offices where I understand the Planning Dept work from. From the outside this building is a shambles what a depressing place to work. How can the Council allow these buildings to become so run down they have the money and man power? In a couple of months this building will be for the chop as well. -
Old Market - What's With All The Wood?
Denise Lloyd replied to Colin James's topic in Edgar Street Grid and Courtyard Theatre
Wood I believe is classed as sustainable so I suppose the developer is trying to be a little bit eco friendly. Mind you for an appearance point of view the coated corrugated can now look very attractive. It would be easier to maintain and stay looking fresh over a longer period of time. This wood will not age attractively and will be impossible to clean. -
Damn I had not finished Cambo no offence taken I had had a deeply disturbing Saturday and was feeling very over sensitive. Mind you I do get pxxxxxx off with the farmer knocking that goes on they are not all bad. I would imagine getting into the heads of either the Council or Stanhope would be nigh on impossible they are both so money driven and have little time or interest in us commoners.

Old Market Brochure
Denise Lloyd replied to Colin James's topic in Edgar Street Grid and Courtyard Theatre
The people I see in the brochure don't look much like the ones I see hanging around town -

A plea to the Council on behalf of Rosé Tinted Rags.

That Mr Featherstone is also involved in the Working Boys Home/Fire Station/Bus Station saga - he certainly gets around -

I am so glad somebody said it. I thought about it but fought against the idea because I think sometimes I offend with my bluntness so decided to leave it to somebody with a hint of sublety

Cllr Jim Kenyon Q&A Balfour Beattie Contract
Denise Lloyd replied to Colin James's topic in Open Forum
Strange they are advertising for new staff yet making 30 redundant. I see they too have also got the talk that now makes 3 of them HC/HH and BB must have all had the same tutor on how to talk a total load of codswallop without actually saying anything.- 54 replies

Development Application - 99 New Homes Hampton Dene
Denise Lloyd replied to twowheelsgood's topic in Hampton Park and Tupsley
Not wishing to sound cynical bitter or whatever word is put on it but I am afraid money talks and the 106 offers lots of it. How on earth these developers make any money will always be a puzzle to me. Prior to being employed by the Council and indeed Herefordshire Housing do prospective employees have to pass an exam on the ability to talk the talk? -
Is this the biggest load of tripe you've read?
Denise Lloyd replied to bobby47's topic in Open Forum
Never having had any direct dealings with Herefordshire Housing I always thought naively they were ok guys but now having read that crap and other comments on here I realise that they are just the same as another large organisation in this county. In it for themselves and everybody else can go whistle. Mind you I see they have changed their logo on their vehicles always a bit dodgy isn't it a tax fiddle or something along those lines. Disillusioned again I will learn one day. -
Saving The Working Boys Home *UPDATE*
Denise Lloyd replied to dippyhippy's topic in Hereford Voice Projects
If the original docs are all packed away for moving to Rotherwas and are not available for scrutiny then surely no deal can/should be made. Well that is in a nice world. -
What does Herefordshire hope to get out of The Marches LEP?
Denise Lloyd replied to megilleland's topic in Open Forum
Please TWG explain why they would do that when there is apparently such a shortage of housing supply land. My link worked. -

Cambo well done and good luck with your efforts -
Personally I would prefer a wheelie bin for garden rubbish - it would be nice to be given an option after all we pay their wages. Yes yes I know you can buy green bags for a huge price if you're prepared to travel into town etc etc and then you can stand and watch the filled green bags being thrown into the same dust cart that household rubbish is thrown into. I also know there is the rubbish tip but it isn't always convenient to do that. Other counties have garden waste bins why is Hereford always so far behind in anything that is innovative? Finally why do the suits always think they know what the ordinary people want for their money and why don't they just ask instead of assuming they know best.

Saving The Working Boys Home *UPDATE*
Denise Lloyd replied to dippyhippy's topic in Hereford Voice Projects
Off topic sorry but John H he went to Savilles -
I may have mis read it but on the FB OLM (or whatever it is called) site it says it is not a shopping centre but 2 roads with 14 shops and that there are 300 shops in the proper town. With only 14 shops and taking into account the expensive go nowhere link road this makes for 14 very very expensive to build shops. How on earth are they going to recoup this kind of money.

Saving The Working Boys Home *UPDATE*
Denise Lloyd replied to dippyhippy's topic in Hereford Voice Projects
It is indeed a beautiful building and one that should be preserved. Why oh why do other towns preserve their buildings and yet this could be reduced to a pile of rubble in a matter of weeks. I see loads of uses for it - apartments/flats/holiday accommodation/small units for worthy causes in need of alternative premises/food hall/antique centre the list is endless. I am sure the building is not in that bad state and if it is the Council certainly have lots of questions to answer. -

Yes and from bitter experience commenting on a Planning Application does not really play a huge part in the final decision
