Lovely! Syphilis in Hereford.Just what we need!
Denise Lloyd replied to bobby47's topic in Open Forum
Did I read somewhere that Hereford has quite a high incidence of Syphillis - says it all about what was once a nice place to live. Just the sort of person they want for their shiny new shopping centre. -
Yes Social Media is certainly a force to be reckoned with - from a please help on the HT facebook page for RTR- Rose Tinted Rags there has been enormous support and word has spread. The same with saving The Working Boys Home. Fingers and everything crossed that the right thing will be done for both of these.

Saving The Working Boys Home *UPDATE*
Denise Lloyd replied to dippyhippy's topic in Hereford Voice Projects
Dippy Hippy yes I know but me being me I sometimes think that one day somebody just somebody will have a conscience about all this and spill the beans you never know - it only takes one person! I actually thought that HCS were in discussions with HC about the building. Mark Hubbard I believe is a member of HCS perhaps he has been excluded from discussions for that reason. -
Saving The Working Boys Home *UPDATE*
Denise Lloyd replied to dippyhippy's topic in Hereford Voice Projects
It might have been beyond economic repair but up until yesterday Council staff were using it for offices. So many decisions affecting Herefordshire are now being made behind closed doors. How many people really wanted the OLM. I see in the HT today that the link road is going ahead with CPO's for loads of different properties - I thought the £27 million funding had been withdrawn. The Council must be made to be more transparent and inform Joe public of their game plan. How this is achieved I do not know. When people like you and Bobby express an opinion you are classed as trouble makers and people who need to get a life - duh. The shame of all of this is that so many of the people that make these decisions are not really local to Hereford and when they have reeked all this havoc will probably spend no quality time in Hereford. -
Surgical Procedure commonly known as an Endoscopy.
Denise Lloyd replied to bobby47's topic in Open Forum
I had it done years ago took the drug option. Went into the recovery/waiting room chatted up some man sat next to me. My Mum bless her took me home I told all my inner most secrets - high as a kite! Next day I was having replacement windows fitted couldn't of cared less still bouncing. Couple of days later went to the bank for work and couldn't remember where I had parked my car oops -
Biomech if you read GDJ comments it looks likes he didn't claim fuel
-
I am surprised they are allowed to claim mileage as well as fuel and it looks like one claimed for filling up 2 different cars on the same day. Quite honestly I would not have the gall to claim for a supermarket/filling station sandwich if I was on the money they are on.

Hereford Futures - Council does not hold board papers
Denise Lloyd replied to twowheelsgood's topic in Open Forum
Apart from 1 or 2 exceptions I notice that they only become slightly more high profile when there is a local election coming about -
I found this on the Facebook Hands Off Our Village it makes interesting reading http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/greenpolitics/planning/10679048/Developers-to-get-incentives-to-build-new-homes-in-towns-and-cities.html

Asset transfer and stripping for the public good?
Denise Lloyd replied to megilleland's topic in Open Forum
And make all the empty homes scattered around the county habitable and rent those out - job done no housing shortage -
Move em out to the villages so that they xxxx on them out there. Mind you I was stood listening to some starlings this morning whilst standing in Kingstone playing fields. That is one of the joys of living in a rural village - you can hear birds sing

Noteworthy Hereford and Herefordshire personalities
Denise Lloyd replied to megilleland's topic in Open Forum
In the new "shopping centre" there should be something to commemorate what the site was before - perhaps a statute of a Hereford Bull/a little farmyard scene/the much adored Deanley Cafe where people enjoyed many a good breakfast/the very popular traders on a Wednesday where many a good bargain has been had. All very sentimental I know but we should be reminded of what once was. -

I did not think you were allowed to put barbed wire across the top of a fence! This is in case some bad boy/girl tries to climb over and harms theirselves

Proposed Residential Development to east of Aylestone Hill
Denise Lloyd replied to megilleland's topic in Planning
"When all is said and done I think following on from this weather that we are all experiencing (and we do not know if it will always be like this in future) far greater emphasis is going to have to be placed on the Flood Risk Assessment. This is going to have to take into account the extreme conditions that we are experiencing. So many homes are already suffering terribly in this country(and my sympathies go out to them) concreting over vast parts of the countryside is only going to exacerbate the situation. It is all very well looking at pretty pictures of how a development might look on a sunny dry day perhaps we should be shown worst case scenario pictures of how it could look. Apparently the D of Transport stated on BBC H & W that no further developments are to be allowed that will further affect the flow of traffic on the A465 and the A49" I posted the above on What I Heard About ................. -
Anyone else been asked to complete survey by Jesse?
Denise Lloyd replied to magicroundabout's topic in Open Forum
Yes I have received one and I am going to have so much fun completing it!! -
What does Herefordshire hope to get out of The Marches LEP?
Denise Lloyd replied to megilleland's topic in Open Forum
Well that's the Aylestone Hill PA sorted. Does that statement also include roads that join the A465? -
Yes same here I have worked and saved all my life. Saved so that I could retire/go part time. When I really needed some benefit for just under a year my savings were too great for me to qualify for anything. But having said that we have the NHS unlike many countries and for that I will always be truly grateful.
