But of course, just more of the council expecting everyone to do the work for them while they reap in the money from the public for not doing their job
-
Clearly the council haven't heard of the Broken Windows Theory
-
It's probably like the figures for the OLM, they're just counting shoppers whether local or not. I know when the OLM released a statement of success the footfall count was a CCTV head count and included high town workers, repeat visits, browsers and every person passing back and forward whether they shopped or not
-
Really? I would love to see a breakdown of this
-
I see people are at it with their "murals" again. I don't mean to be spiteful, but they always look very amateurish and, in my opinion, have the opposite effect of what I assume is intended.

Send them an invoice

Bypass anyone? lol

Giant Boeing 747s coming to Herefordshire on 14.02.15
Biomech replied to Roger's topic in Open Forum
heh probably, we'll find out next time Google does a pass :P -
Bill Wiggin campaign newsletter; aka the Hereford Times
Biomech replied to gdj's topic in Open Forum
Same **** every time an election pops up. I'm surprised there's no valentines special or meal deal going on with them this week. If they put as much effort and passion into doing the ******* job as they do the spin, marketing and bullshit, we'd be a lot better off. -
I just thought it was funny how it had all this old history, there's a big long timeline down the room with key dates, all this information and greatness over nearly half a millenium and it ends with "council sold if for a quid" :P

Biomech replied to Colin James's topic in Hereford Voice Projects
Instead we got even MORE lights. Some of which have caused ridiculous traffic issues, ie Wall Street- 82 replies

I think maybe they had bought some hot food inside play - maybe a burger - and taken it outside into a cold food zone. That's just asking for trouble!
-
Outside the Model Shop? They mean the Lunchbox then. Sorry Roger, this cant be true, they only serve cold food at the Lunchbox and we all know that violent crime only occurs due to hotfood

Herefordshire Council has created a new £90,000 a year role
Biomech replied to megilleland's topic in Open Forum
Do you think the council would give me a job? heh -
Could be just a 5 minute search of vets records perhaps
-
There's enough space on there now for one of Bobby's posts :P

Ok, bets are open, how long do you think that white boarding will last? Lovely big plain white canvas :) I'm going for graffiti by Sunday 1st Feb :)

Don't forget we already had River Island as well. And when you take into account that "Outift" is actually one building full of different shops; Burton, DP, Topman, Topshop, Wallis - we had all of them before. The food section - while nice and enjoyable, is exactly the same as every other city, almost to the point that it's a blueprint copy. Before Ragwerts starts again - as I've said many many times before, the development is great and better than what was there, the objections I have is the way it has been done. The lies, deceit, the poaching of shops and the complete lack of variety. Nothing but clothes shops and food. Where are the computer shops? Toy shops? Where's the choice? I don't go to the OLM not out of protest, but simply because there is nothing there for me. (I have tried the odeon a few times, very expensive, but what can you do aye)
-
By all means open another Costa, but why not put it down Commerical Road for the students coming from college or down the Chadds end? It just makes no sense to put it right in the middle with existing suppliers.
-
Sorry ragwert, I didn't think being surprised that the exact same type of business is opening exactly next to other businesses doing the exact same thing is "moaning". Do you honestly think sticking another outdoor coffee area right next to several coffee places and several outdoor coffee areas is a good idea? Really? Apart from being generally idiotic, it just makes no sense from a business point of view. It's like opening a Tesco in the carpark of Sainsburys
-
What? Costa is opening up an outdoor coffee area next to Starbucks and the Coffee Cart's outdoor coffee area? What idiot comes up with this ****?

Broadleys Pub Planning Application - Co-Operative Store
Biomech replied to Colin James's topic in Planning
I don't frequent the Broadleys and don't care for it much, but my biggest objection would be that there are 3 convenience shops 320 meters away. -
Broadleys Pub Planning Application - Co-Operative Store
Biomech replied to Colin James's topic in Planning
That's a pretty bold statement According to every other source about this, there has been a planning application -
Just for informations sake, disabled and parent parking spaces on private land are put there as a courtesy anyway, not a right. At worst the owner could ask you to move for noncompliance and refusal would lead to trespass, which is all a lot of hassle over a car parking incident
