    Just read that they are to put a priority bus lane down newmarket / blueschool street like what the hell is that going to do with vehicles wanting to go down Commercial road & to the places like the hospital etc. You've god mad Harrington absolutely stark raving mad.

    They all know we are sick n tired of all this incompetence. & waste on vanity projects that will end up doing nothing & we all now very few people use cycle lanes. The number one issue in this City is the congestion caused by the sheer amount of unnecessary traffic lights that run on a generic timer,some that are deliberately timed to cause major issues. Why do the lights on the Link Road/Widemarsh St work perfectly OK after 7pm using the ground sensors but are controlled by day with timing that cause huge tailbacks especially in the mornings that sometimes reach as far as the blind College. The lights on Edgar St to Link Road have been changed to a long unnecessary timer causing long tailbacks. Investment in removing unnecessary lights ie Newmarket Roundabout, new traffic light control technology throughout the City.Installing roundabouts with priority pedestrian & cycle lanes would be a start.

    Anyone remember the uproar when they wanted to build Bobblestock? People are missing the point that we simply cannot keep building homes inside the City limits anymore and future population growth will need houses to be built in areas like this.

    They say the pollution from increasing numbers of free-range poultry farms near its banks is now seriously damaging the river. Chicken excrement rich in phosphates and other chemicals gets spread on the ground around sheds and is being flushed into the river, Biggest load of bullshit & bollox i've ever heard.

    Sick and tired of the same old shite(pardon the pun) about poultry units causing pollution of the Wye. There are very tight restrictions on the diposal of poultry waste most of which is sold to make fertaliser or fuel. People seem to forget the hundreds of sewage overflow pipes including the hundreds if not thousands of private sewage overflow pipes from residential and business septic tanks that spill directly into the Wye. Not one demostration outside a sewage works,not even banner at a demostration .

    Pretty clear by looking at the map of discharge locations tha the Rivers in Wales are just a cesspit. Imagine if the river Wye map looked like that.

    Listening to JH on Central news talking about this being just a small part of a bigger project wich will include a new river crossing 🙄. You have had nearly four years John with sweet FA being done with our traffic issues in that time. Has nobody told you that the chances of you building an Easten By-Pass is ...Zero. The Lugg flats are proteceted with an sssi. Its also home to a large breeding population of one of the UK's most threatened brird species, the Curlew.

    Yes, and a few signs to the tune of over £700,000 for just over 100 yds of road to cycle on because once they get to St Peters Sq they will have to dismount between the hours of 10.30 & 4pm.(Not that any of them do). Unless a cycle lane is continuous to a cyclists destination most of them simply don't get used.0

    After the trees were put in without any stakes we had some morons pulling down a few trees on the Link Rd over the weekend. Along come Balfour Beatty hammering in bamboo sticks & tying a bit of rope to them. Completely incorrect way of staking a tree.
