  1. Well that will cause problems.People won't park in car parks around the City, they will jam up the streets for two hours whilst most people that park on the streets to do errands etc will be stuffed.
  2. Hell of a lot of construction along this road has not even started yet so What's the point of planting the trees (see planning app)
  3. This has all turned out to be a false rumour.Started by Your Herefordshire.
  4. The 3 year rent reduction is a myth. They were all given between 6-9 months rent free. And from what I have been hearing Beefy boys will be relocating here.
  5. Promised the Govt..Hell Maggie lets not start making up stories about the Link I mean relief,no Link road.Nothing to do with the Govt.Have a look at the plans on planning portal. As a keen cyclist myself I find no problem with shared paths with pedestrians usually because I'm the only muppet using them, everyone else cycling is using the road. On another note me and my father in law will try and be the first cyclists to use the Link Road on Monday.
  6. How many cyclists will be on the shared parh? I'm guessing by how many use the cycle lanes/paths in Hereford...Not many.
  7. Pinewood Studios announced earlier today that funding has been secured to revive the much loved Carry On franchise and that a new title, Carry On Brexit, has been commissioned and is slated for a late 2018 release. Billy Freeman, the film's executive producer told Empire: It was simply just begging to be made, and as a comedy, the script has practically written itself with little or no help at all. The plot centres around the hapless Theresa May played by Babs Windsor who is desperately trying to clear up the Brexit shambles left behind by David Cameron played by Julian Clary. In one scene, reminiscent of Carry On Camping, Mrs May's liberty bodice flies off when she gets a violent attack of sneezing after inhaling some pepper. It's understood the plot romps its way through Strasbourg and then moves to Brussels where there is an almost catastrophic outbreak of flatulence and diarrhoea that nearly derails some tricky negotiations before a final deal can be agreed. A veritable who's who of British comedy talent has been signed up to play key figures in The UK's leaving process. Boris Johnson, played by Peter Kay in an outrageous and wonderfully bouffant voluminous blond wig, contracts foot in mouth disease from a contaminated French beefsteak and Sir Kenneth Branagh puts in a rollicking turn as Jacob Rees-Mogg, valliantly fighting to ensure Britain is allowed to quit the EU free of any lasting legal obligation to sell only straight bananas. With Jimmy Nesbitt in drag playing the DUP's thorn-in-the-side hatchet-faced harridan, Arlene Foster, then the scene looks set for a fabulous fun-filled caper with something for all the family to enjoy.
  8. Too fkn many.No need for the ones at Station App,Widemarsh St,new road to football car park. Roundabout would of been perfectly ok.
  9. Found out the owners were selling the building so they had to move at end of lease. Building has now sold.
  10. 11th December opening.
  11. Wondering how long it will take for Herefordshire Council or whoever has the responsibility of the road layout in Blackfriars Street to notice the traffic lights and the right turn into the Old Market simply do not work. The backing up of traffic is a frequent problem here with traffic backing up down Edgar Street both ways and in Widemarsh Street. But today was horrendous with the flow of traffic coming from the South backing up to All Saints church and traffic in Widemarsh Street & Edgar Street backing up within 20 meters of both roundabouts.
  12. And after Christmas....These Councillors don't give a toss.As long as they can make money from other peoples misery then its fine.
  13. I parked in Broad St yesterday 3rd space down and could not see a parking meter.Better have a closer look next time :-)
  14. NEWS | Emergency meeting held after Church Street businesses express concern over loss of trade due to roadworks and parking charges. Sources have told us that a number of businesses are worried they 'may not have enough takings to pay their staff' this week. An emergency meeting took place at Hereford Town Hall this evening with traders raising their concerns with cabinet members from Herefordshire Council. Traders in Church Street are worried that they may have to close their doors for good early in the new year if something isn't done to improve footfall in the area. They say increases to parking charges, recent road closures and the introduction of on street parking charges has seen some businesses lose over half their normal trade at this time of year. Some suggestions were made during the evening and the council are believed to be looking into ideas to support the businesses affected.

    Droning

I must admit that I'm pretty useless when it come to most tech but I had a go with my lads DJI Phantom drone in the Summer and was surprised at just how easy these things are to fly. After my lad done some sort of weird dance to program the gps between drone and control the drone when started stays in one position until you use the controls to move it. The only thing I can see that needs to be done is what Ibique stated, they need geo fencing of all no go areas like airports prisons etc
  17. I think that removing the right turn out of Barrs Ct road is a good idea but no right turn into it !!! The entrance and exit out of Morrisons is what motorists have been dong since the lay out was changed last year so I cannot see why they mention it here. We have some of them stupid 'new traffic signals ahead' signs being put up which to me are really stupid just like this note. If you cannot follow road signals, lines etc then you should not be driving.
  18. News just in.Toby Carvery are interested in coming to Hereford.Could it be here ?
  19. Considering the Uni accommodation will be here it could well be a police car
  20. Fly tippers, bane of my life for the past 8 months whilst looking after what is left of Holmer Trading Est. I have caught four people red handed tipping rubbish, another left some junk mail in his name so I went around to his home and told him to remove it within 24hrs while he was protesting that it was not him.Hey presto,24hrs later it was gone. The police were called around 1am in the morning when a neighboring house saw headlights of a large van.Police caught them and told me they had came from Gloucestershire to dump rubbish. We now have Harris fencing all down left side but they still come and dump rubbish.
  21. Glenda...I have never ever in the 14 years I lived in Brampton Road been sat in traffic for an hour to get out of Belmont Road.
  22. The answer to this is to make Southolme Road a no vehicles except for access road from the roundabout
