  2. So we have tarmac doing the overnight resurfacing for Griffiths. Griffiths doing the road widening on Newtown Road Welsh water installing new pipes in a few places Western power down the Lugg Flats,Balfour Beatty doing the road resurfacing for Herefordshire Council.... Who seem to take the blame for it all
  3. Have just had a walk down Lugg flats with missus & looks pretty much finished to me

Just done a little reading up of these grenades. 6,000,000 were made during the war mainly given out to the home guard in case of invasion.Not all locations were officially recorded and some caches were lost.Occasionally, the caches are discovered by builders digging foundations. In all cases, the grenades are still found to be dangerous and typically are destroyed via a controlled explosion.
  7. A ww2 bomb has been dug up by contractors on the industrial estate. Road closed in both directions with bomb disposal unit on site
  8. Have just come back from Morrisons and.....Wow,no traffic. You can tell these lights are working as they should do..On traffic sensors. Now all we need is the whole bloody lot of em around the city to do the same.

  11. I don't think the Council own Franklin Barns building,they just lease it and pay rent
  12. As I remember he was seen by a woman pc and told to get off the pavement and she caught him again coming back from shops. Can clearly remember the court summons hand delivered by PC Baker.My brother is 50 this year so this was 40 yrs ago.
  13. My younger brother was taken to court aged 10 and fined £5 for cycling on the pavement in Whittern Way.

  15. Great idea. Always thought that the magnificent woodpecker sculpture was in the wrong place in Whitecross Road and its new place across the road is even worse. Should of been put on Newmarket roundabout
  16. The signs were put up by the canal and river trust so I will be e-mailing them to find out more
  17. Have contacted Herefordshire Council via e-mail asking where they get these signs from. I don't mind dipping into my pocket to buy a few and have them put up.
  18. I'd of said the same thing a few weeks back but after chatting to Sam during one of her camp building projects on land I'm looking after and talking to someone who knows her I can say that she needs help but constantly refuses it,and she refuses it because of her mental state of mind.
  19. Fantastic idea.Would be even better with a please do not feed the ducks bread sign too. And I'm pretty sure the pond was cleaned out about 8 years ago. The algae is more likely to come from the build up of dead leaves that are shed from the trees
  20. Old Crows Cottage is owned by a local builder Andy Prosser who is going to restore it to its former glory including much of the internal structure including the aga cooker.
  21. Went past old crows cottage this morning and took a few pics.
  22. Lights were out earlier at the Aylestone Hill/Morrisons junction......No traffic
