Not true Glenda. The reason is because they have had trouble with a live gas main running through the flats that are about to be demolished. And that's pretty much from the horses mouth as they say.

I have just got the OK for West mercia constabulary to use this site for training purposes until it's demolished of sold again. Will hopefully be a deterrent to stop people dumping rubbish or stealing property that don't belong to them like these two I caught last week.

Petition is dead in the water Colin, they in power ain't and never will listen. This system looks to be a great idea and more of a possibility than turning off the lights.

Well these new smart artificial intelligence sensor traffic lights look promising...Herefordshire Council take note. https://www.thesun.co.uk/motors/3572311/smart-traffic-lights-which-count-the-number-of-vehicles-on-the-road-to-launch-in-the-uk-and-they-will-give-priority-to-cyclists/

Government Proposal on tackling diesel pollution
ragwert replied to greenknight's topic in Open Forum
This no right turn could be a problem when the new fire & police station are built as the fire brigade will at some point need to turn right into Edgar St. Was passing by this morning ans saw they were installing the cables and ducting for traffic lights -

Have you seen the latest 2020 visions on Hereford Times? Have a laugh at this pic of Commercial Rd,One way & no traffic lights
-
Were they not paying for the road in the first place before they had some 16 million in funding so I can't see where this overspend comes from. You have to remember Griffiths put in a contractual Quote not estimate for this road just like any other company would with a time limit on finishing it.

Vodaphone guarantee a min speed. When I signed up it was 40 mps, when I told them I'm only getting around 33mps they lowered their speed guarantee to 32mps.Vodaphones equipment is attached to BT's that's where the problem is.My evening speed is between 6 & 10 mps. They have installed the new equipment & are testing it for a week and will transfer customers who are having problems overnight one day next week. My gripe with this company is they don't tell you they are having problems nor do they keep you informed once you do have a problem. Not only am I going for a refund of all monthly payments since Feb I'm also wanting compensation from them.

Let me tell you all of a slight issue shall we say that Vodaphone have with quite a few customers in some parts of Hereford. They have a serious issue with overloading,ie too many customers on some of their systems,College for one. Although they are in the process of upgrading their systems this has been an on going issue for over four months. If you are one of their customers then click on the link below in the evening and have a look at your speed. You are probably guaranteed 32mps.If you are getting less (I'm getting around 8mps....Yes 8mps) then contact Vodaphone. and complain. http://www.broadbandspeedchecker.co.uk/
