David Cameron has resigned as Prime minister

I have to say I was not expecting that. David Camerons position is untenable & I can see him resign by lunch time.

Do you know the cost of an FOI request? It has a max ceiling price of £600 per request and costs Councils the UK millions every year. Take Hampshire Council,it spent some £365,000 last year alone.

Where's the willow tree gone on Edgar Street roundabout?

Contrary to speculation the Willow tree split down the middle because of the weight of branches and wet leaves. It was damages quite a few years ago loosing it's top branches leaving the break open to the elements. I was watching it being cut down yesterday whilst waiting for the bus & missus took some pics, will post them when she gets home. -
Traffic Lights Campaign - Part -Time Lights 7pm-7am
ragwert replied to Colin James's topic in Hereford Voice Projects
While waiting yet again for the lights to change when not a car in sight I noticed that the lights in Blackfriars St have ground sensors. Obviously not working and have not been for probably since they were installed. About to send an email to highways to see if they can enlighten me- 82 replies

Bloody cheek.......

I think the worst junction is Barrs Court Rd -Aylestone Hill. Any other Council would have sorted this one out years ago, ours probably with traffic lights.. Dozens more lights are on their way in the next 12 months on the Link Road. You would have thought our elected councillors would say something to stop this traffic light madness in our City.Sadly until we get rid of a few of them(mention no names)our traffic problems will continue.

Lights need removing and a roundabout installed

All they had to do was push the bloody car 3ft

Sorry Denise but all I'm hearing is this.... “contribute to conserving and enhancing the natural environment and reducing pollution…†“actively manage patterns of growth to make the fullest possible use of public transport, walking and cycling.Where are the plans or ideas on reducing and improving traffic and its flow through the City? Making the fullest possible use of public transport walking and here we go again cycling WILL NOT reduce any traffic in and around the City.

Iv'e said this before about Merton car park.It is never full.I park there mostly twice a week and last Thursday it was just over half full. This road will obviously to me take traffic off other roads as people who want to say get to the bus/train station,Hospital,Morrisons etc will use it as a direct route. But it is doomed to faileur because it will have traffic lights along its length. This is the problem with our roads, the amount of traffic lights, way way to many. Take the lights on Edgar St -Blackfriars St & the lights in Blackfriars St yesterday with traffic backing up way past Newmarket roundabout and traffic wanting to turn left into Blackfriars St half way down Edgar St.The Council and others must be aware of this. Why is nothing being done about this huge problem

Quite a few Bill but I must start with your tram system. All very good but the cost would be huge and would need subsidising as running costs and maintenance would far out weigh the amount of revenue it would ever bring in.You only have to look at Birminghams tram system, has been running at a loss ever since it began.Manchesters is the same with the proposed extension being scrapped, and these are big Cities. Here are a few of my ideas to keep traffic flowing. 1.Remove the traffic lights on Victoria St crossroads with Barton Rd & St Nicholas St and install a roundabout & pedestrian crossing. 2.Remove lights at the Victoria St Whitecross Rd and install roundabout. 3.Remove lights in Commercial Rd-Union Walk and reverse the one way system. Our wonderful Council is about to make it even worse than it already is with the installation of dozens of traffic lights on the new Link road.

Sorry but just turning off traffic lights on two roundabouts is just not good enough. The who City road infrastructure needs looking at.

I have my spot to watch, well out of the way of the general public.
