Work to start on Herefords Newmarket Street after Christmas
ragwert replied to Glenda Powell's topic in Open Forum
Have been through Newmarket St three times today with no traffic problems -
As change of use has been approved and builders are already working on units I would guess they already have businesses lined up to move in.
-
I'm in favour of pulling this dump of a City kicking and screaming into the 21st Century Glenda. The new development won't ever stop me from shopping in town
-
No's 11 12 13 St Peters St (old phase eight shop and both either side) have had there use changed from A1 retail to A2 financial/professional services.
-
There is nothing stopping any business from relocating where ever they want no matter how much people dislike the idea. And who really blames River Island ? I certainly don't. Busineses that grow and prosper need bigger and better premises something that the Town centre cannot give.

I heard Vodafone and Clarks are just opening other stores there same as Boots

During this period temporary traffic lights will be used to assist with regulating traffic flow Can I just say that if these temp traffic lights cause as much trouble as the temp lights on Newmarket roundabout did that they simply turn the bloody things off and just have traffic lights for pedestrians to cross road.I know this is a simple solution but for some reason we have a lunatic within highways/Council who has a traffic light fetish -
I caught yet another dog owner not picking up their dogs sh*t.The excuse is always the same I came out with no bag. I filmed her too...Want to see the vid

Must say that trying to get Amey to have a road sweeper down the path where I lived used to be a joke.Even when I finally got them to come every two weeks that only lasted for three months then it was back to ringing the Council who done a log complaint which nearly always fell on deaf ears. Now that Balfour do it they are here every week including a couple of ladies picking up rubbish and cleaning out bins.Happy days

Wonder who is responsible for the Roman Rd kerb drainage system. It's mostly blocked with road grit and mud piling up along its length. It's that bad that surface rain water cannot drain off leaving the road like a lake in some parts

John.I think you would be much better off getting a dongle with speeds as low as yours
-
It always amazes me why they roll out Infinity broadband in big cities first smallest last. It's as if we small City and Country bumpkin folk are some sort of lepers. Finally had Infinity2 installed six months ago and my speed is around 50mb/sec.That in relation to other European Countries is laughable with a French friend of mine telling me he gets speeds near 1 tb

Lets hope this has nothing to do with the highway robbery agency after the £260,000 rip off Asda improvement
-
Just watch them put a load of parking meters down here too. Councillor Price really does live in a different world to the rest of us
-
True that
-
Bet they balls this up....Again.Just put a bloody roundabout there, simples
-
At least it does not look like that hideous factory look building on the Newmarket roundabout
