  1. Noooooooo Cambo! Don't say these things..... don't even think them! They have to go!! I haven't spent the last four years blogging, just to see Pat Morgan hang on in there by the skin of her teeth! For the sake of my sanity.......PLEASE vote this woman OUT!
  2. Hi Roger..... yes, it was that link that got me wondering......!
  3. Oh he's still there, Denise! Standing in Hagley ward.
  4. I'm not surprised the Brigadier is stepping down. After being caught napping during that all important meeting about cuts to the fire service, he has wisely decided that perhaps an afternoon siesta is a better option! Thanks for the explanation, Megilleland and Two Wheels!
  5. Megilleland, could you explain what the difference is between unattached and Independent?? I see Glenda is down as being unattached, yet she always states she is an Independent, and election leaflets I have seen for Tim Price state that he is Independent, yet he is also listed as unattached!
  6. Tony Johnson has written a letter to the Hereford Times. He complains that he has read that folks are making a lot of comments about secrecy, closed door meetings and a lack of transparency. He goes on to say that none of this is true. (Good grief, how could we have got it all so wrong??) My suggestion would be......if there is nothing to hide, and you are now embracing this open and transparent approach, Tony...... get yourself signed up to Hereford Voice, and answer some of these questions. Perhaps someone should email him a handy link to this thread???
  7. Good Grief Grid Knocker..... for about thirty seconds I thought common sense had finally won the day! Mind you, appointing Bobby is definitely not the worst thing the council could do........some sort of Transparency Tsar. If he even got a whiff of council maths, council jargon or council bullying, he'd be on them quicker than a rat up a drainpipe!
  8. Blimey! What a cafuffle!
  9. I see the Conservatives have a David Shepherd standing in Weobley, and a Jenny Shepherd standing in Whitecross. I wonder if they are related??
  10. Thirty one visitors to Hereford Voice currently viewing this page..... It's certainly an interesting subject.
  11. What a brilliant idea, Jon! It would be great to see vehicles around the county festooned in IOC colours in the run up to May 7th!
  12. No, Roger.... it doesn't appear he's on the list. And Bobby's nemesis, Jarvis, has obviously decided to call it a day!
  13. What's the betting they haven't already done that, Denise???? I can't see either Jesse or Bill wanting to get themselves involved in anything like this. To take on this sort of issue, you need backbone and a determination to get to the bottom of the issue.... not just be fobbed off with " We are dealing with this situation via our own policies, procedures and protocols" If they thought it would be a massive vote winner, they might have taken the time to try and help to resolve this.
  14. Brilliant, Roger! Thanks for posting this, very useful. Although actually seeing in print that Pat, Harry and Tony are standing again has made my blood start to boil again......
  15. Oh dear. (Roger, just for information as I know you knew the previous owner,The little shop around the corner, Cottrell Street Stores, seems to have new owners...... and something of a makeover! )
  16. What's this I see??? Only a new member......posting their views! Brilliant stuff! A very warm welcome to you, Myhatmycoat. I'm so pleased you've decided to take the plunge, and jumps straight in! I hope to hear a lot more from you!
  17. Go loud, go proud and go public! With four weeks until elections, minds are very much focussed on the goings on within our Council. There will never be a better time to highlight the bullying, harassment and discrimination which continues to thrive unchecked.
  18. Wow! Looking at the front page....... Just look at all these new members who have been signing up to Hereford Voice recently! Brilliant!
  19. Whoever had the bright idea to wheel out Phony Tony, and thought it would be a vote winner, needs to be given a slap around the back of the legs with a wet Hereford Times. Ridiculous. There can't be many folks who are still oblivious to the chaos and destruction he oversaw whilst in office. If only David Milliband had won that leader of The Labour Party vote..... things could have looked an awful lot better. Surely nobody can trust a man who was so willing to stab his own brother in the back......
  20. Amanda, you ask the question, "What do you do if you are friendless and without the means to make a case?" You simply say and do nothing. Which is why this kind of thing continues, because all too often they can get away with it.
  21. This subject is certainly attracting a lot of attention..... there are currently 21 people viewing this thread!
  22. Hi Amanda, it 's awful to think that this could be the case, and I sincerely hope that we are wrong...... but it really does make you wonder. Shout about this from the roof tops, it will only aid your cause. Those that are guilty of this sort of abhorrent behaviour , hope that those on the receiving end will go away quietly, and live in fear that they may be unfairly targeted again. Keep at it, and hopefully you'll get a result.
  23. Very interesting article, Flam. Thanks for the link. Interesting to note which police forces have signed up..... and those which haven't.
  24. There are good police officers out there, I'm guessing the majority.....BUT....if a blind eye is turned to an example such as this, that does not fill the public with much hope that they are a trustworthy and honest organisation, there to protect the innocent. This appalling sequence of events cannot be allowed to stand unchallenged. If the police value their reputation, they need to be seen to be doing whatever is necessary to put an end to the unacceptable behaviour of some of its staff. You can never defend the indefensible, and what happened to Julian sounds like it falls into that category.
  25. Thanks for that David Griffiths and Jon Stannard! A very warm welcome to Hereford Voice..... great to have you here! It's fantastic that candidates are signing up, and engaging with the bloggers on this forum! Hope to hear plenty of views from you both!
