  1. Hells Bells. This is an extraordinary, and frightening sequence of events. I am glad that Julian did not just meekly accept the caution, and would hope that the full version of events from that night will be heard when the court date arrives. Bullying at high level does occur across Hereford, you only need to have a look at the Council Bullying thread to realise quite how endemic it is becoming, and with a culture of cover up and deny, to thwart attempts to bring those responsible to book. The suspicious part of my nature also thinks...... this is very close to the local elections, it couldn't possibly be an attempt to smear those closest to you, but then...... no. That couldn't possibly happen. Could it???? Please keep us posted on any updates.
  2. Great idea! It's good to keep the momentum going. The advert seems to have attracted a few more members already..... perhaps this is just the subject to entice them into posting their thoughts....??
  3. Crikey! That's an awful lot of folks! Great to see the positive vibe is spreading!
  4. Well that's potentially six more people who may sign up and take a look! When Green Knight started this thread he said....." With local and general elections just around the corner, I would dearly love to activate some of the silent members of Hereford Voice." This is a forum which debates political issues which effect us all, as well as other subjects, and we are fortunate to have Councillors such as yourself, come on here and post your views and advice.I think perhaps trying to raise awareness of Hereford Voice, as well as making an attempt to rid ourselves of this awful voter apathy, has to be a good thing? Folks are so on board with trying to make positive changes for Hereford, but unless folks get up off their backsides and vote, some of those same old faces may get back in. If only out of curiosity, I'd urge people to visit Hereford Voice for themselves, and see what this forum is all about. As for Colin standing??? Obviously I cannot speak for him..... but I have heard worse ideas! He would be a brilliant Councillor, but I'm guessing it won't be this time around.....
  5. Brian Wilcox....Aylestone....Conservative. Jon Norris...IOC...Pontrilas. Len Tawn ....IOC .....Central.
  6. Cheers Denise! Paul Andrews is standing for IOC in The College.
  7. Evening Ragwert! The old lines run under the Sainsbury/Aldi subway...... down to The Courtyard..... then continue on to Currys. They run parallel... so not actually on Edgar Street!
  8. Cheers for all the info you lot! Keep posting if you hear anything else!
  9. Ubique has reported that Sally Robertson - Independent - is not standing again in Burghill. Glenda and Chris have both confirmed that they are standing again in their wards.
  10. That is just the sort of can do, positive, and refreshingly down to earth response I have come to expect from you, John! Roll on May 7th.....then we can get busy!
  11. That is just the sort of can do, positive response I have come to expect from you, John! Roll on May 7th.....then we can get busy!
  12. A Herefordshire Council planner, Ange Tyler, has given up her job to stand as an Independent candidate in the Aylestone ward. Full story over at HT. Tim Price is to stand as an Independent in Whitecross. Amanda Martin is standing for IOC in Widemarsh. Anybody know of any more.....??!
  13. Better late to the party, than not invited at all, Grid Knocker!
  14. Thanks for that info, Jimbo Hmmm. (Scratches head and looks thoughtful.....) Let me see..... £25 million on the Link Road To Nowhere, or £22 million on The Tram Plan....... I know which one I prefer!
  15. Brilliant John! I shall look forward to hearing the outcome of that conversation!
  16. I shall be around and about at that time probably, Ubique! Second time lucky for a sticky bun delivery!
  17. Good on you, Slim, for posting your thoughts on your local councillor! This is what people want..... action, not just hollow words and empty promises! Cllr Nicholls sounds like he's done a great job for the community he serves!
  18. I'm enjoying the photo updates from our very own Roving Reporter!
  19. Blimey! I shall do just that John!
  20. And down by there, (towards Curry/PC World) is a section of the old canal....... Wouldn't it be wonderful if these two things could be given a lease of life????
  21. Don't worry.... I know what you mean!
  22. Or we should refer to Col as..... Colin. The Man With A Plan For A Tram
  23. Psst. John..... over here! Sneak the Tram Plan into the manifesto......!
  24. I wish I were..... or you in Whitecross!
  25. Agreed, Frank. There are transport solutions for Hereford where the car does not have to be king! This could make a dramatic improvement.
