  1. Good Grief Biomech! You're back!
  2. It's very interesting indeed, isn't it???? "..there should, in our view, be a re-evaluation of the County Bus Station site." Wouldn't it be wonderful if this was a battle we could win??? I am really quite encouraged by this!!
  3. Blimey Denise! That was quick!
  4. Night night, John.
  5. Thanks for that, John! Now I have an image of Our Leader in a frilly shirt and wearing more eye liner than is decent! I shan't sleep a wink with that vision whizzing around in my head!
  6. By the way John........Always believe in your soul - you've got the power to know - you're indestructible!! Wise words there from Tony, I have always thought!
  7. Ooooh John! The mystery! The intrigue! The suspense! What is going on???????? (By the way - I met Daley Thompson, in 1986, very nice chap!)
  8. I think the temporary "field" that the bull stood in was what swung it! Seriously though, we should all applaud the efforts of Mr Swindells - no easy task at the best of times, even more difficult in these cash strapped times. I also thought it was a lovely comment from Sean Pockett. It genuinely sounds as if the team involved with this project took a great deal of pride in it. Well done to all involved!
  9. Hi Bobby, the evening you and The GridKnocker organised was lovely. The food provided by Mrs GridKnocker- absolutely delicious, the music - fabulous. The lovely folks who support/work at/use Rose Tinted Rags certainly enjoyed themselves. I was still struggling with a hangover at 4.00 yesterday afternoon.....so I obviously had a good night!. Perhaps those who did not attend could still make a donation to RTR??? A huge "Well Done" to you and GK for putting this event on. If nothing else, it helps to raise the profile of this wonderful resource/facility, and the huge amount they do.
  10. Hi Jbfc, and a very warm welcome to Hereford Voice! Always great to read a comment from a new poster!
  11. It really is beyond. Just like the incinerator project, when all the evidence points in one direction, they quite simply will not hold up their hands and admit they have got things wrong. I am counting down the days until May.........
  12. I think persistently observing, and then blogging about, all the things that go on in Hereford is something of an art form! It takes diligence, perseverance, tenacity and humour to keep at it for any length of time. I wouldn't use the term "professional", but it's definitely a skill......and some might say, a feat of endurance!
  13. I have heard only good things about Ivan, so I view this appointment very positively. I wish him well in this vital role.
  14. Well, it's now open for business! With a free cash point on the outside wall in the car park too! I popped in for some milk earlier, and a quick look around. Just one disappointment.....the pool table has gone. I think Tesco may have missed a trick there. Keep the pool table I say, or at the very least, the dartboard. It could have made for a very interesting addition to the shopping experience!
  15. No apology needed Growl! It's been nice to reminisce about a few light hearted topics!
  16. Ah Smudge! Yes, Smudge was indeed the star of many a HT story! Those heady days over at HT, when we had such fun!! Random stories and even more random comments, on subjects such as an impromptu breakfast survey, when a pacamac might be needed, and who can forget the abandoned pumpkin on the postbox?? Happy times indeed!
  17. Do you know what - you may be onto something there, Two Wheels.
  18. That would be great Ubique! And yes, they are on the list of objections!
  19. It's a gift, Bobby! There is no other way to describe your offerings! And don't you worry about cuts.....I am trained to deal with any of your first aid requirements!! (Just message me to complete the medical history questionnaire - it should only take three hours of your time, and I will need an up to date list of all your prescribed medications!!!) Just to dot the i's and cross the t's.....could you also sign a disclaimer form??? Only to say that you are happy to be treated by someone with my questionable and limited skills.......after the last "incident" I have been advised this is now a must.
  20. 41 representations currently showing on line!
  21. Absolutely cracking response from English Heritage! It could be quite some time before that fat lady sings a note!!
  22. Thirty three objections now showing......and one of support for the scheme.
  23. How very exciting! I shall set my alarm, and scurry down to cheer you on! I'll also bring a well stocked first aid kit, defibrillator and a shot of adrenaline......just in case!!
  24. Mine is not showing up yet.....so there is obviously a significant delay. That said, there are now 31 representations made when I checked the website 10 minutes ago. Although today is officially the last day for objections, I am given to understand that letters received after this date still have to be taken into consideration.....si it's not too late to make your feelings known!
  25. Well done Clarkester! A small victory for once!!
