But what if they don't want fifty quid, Bobby?? What if they want names, inside leg measurements and descriptions of the odd sort who frequent The Commercial?? What then?? Blimey Bobby - you may know too much.....we may have to kidnap you ourselves!!!!! Good Grief! This situation is getting completely out of hand!!

Crikey Clarkester! Methinks you need to keep this "devil may care" attitude towards health and safety in check my friend! The next thing you know, you'll be skipping across the road before the green man appears......or, NOT holding the handrail whilst using the escalator in Marks and Sparks! No. Think carefully Clarkester. If your approach catches on, we could be just one step away from anarchy! -

Bill Tanner starts naming names over at HT. Chris Chapman, Sara Keetley, Andrew Tector and Richard Bevan-Pearson. All departed with large sums paid as compensation for loss of office. Hopefully someone will provide a handy link...??? Great stuff Bill! -
Thanks for that!

Just out of interest, what are the opening hours here??

Hi Richard, They haven't been deleted - Colin was putting some threads into the archive, pressed something and the majority of comments disappeared. That's my understanding. I had hoped that there was a way they could somehow be retrieved.
-
I am bumping this back up to the front page. This thread has well over 2000 views, has been visited by 38 users.....yet all comments bar three have vanished into the ether! You can see from my above post, that I was keen for the comments to be reinstated in May. Does this thread ring a bell with any Councillors?? The comments will if they can be retrieved.

Ah Flam! Council Maths! After my tutorial with GDJ, I now understand fully that FIRST you come up with the answer you want, and THEN you try to fit the workings out to suit!! There is no reason why 10 plus 10 shouldn't make 32! There is no reason why 8 subtract 2 shouldn't make 4!! There is no wrong answer....you merely need to find the right solution!! Simple!! -

Hi Clarkester, Many months ago, when questions were first being asked about the IT issues, I posted a comment..."It's not that long since The Crookall Report." This thread has been viewed thousands of times, and did have pages of extremely pertinent comments and links to Pauls FOI requests, and other very relevant and informative links. Now it shows only three posts.....it does however, still record that 38 members visited the page - including 4 councillors. I so wish Colin could use his computer wizardry to reinstate all the comments on that thread. (You Don't Deserve Democracy" started in December 2013) Colin - if you read this.....any chance they can be retrieved???? -

Afternoon Marc! Thanks for taking the time to contribute to this thread, your comments are always appreciated. Personally, I have been quite overwhelmed with the amount of support for saving The Working Boys Home. If this can be achieved, I will be delighted. Most folks who post on this forum, myself included, care deeply about this city of ours - to see the plans for this industrial eyesore, and try to imagine in any way, shape or form that it will improve or enhance the conservation area, is beyond comprehension. I too, would urge everybody with an opinion to take this opportunity to make their feelings known. The clock is ticking people!! -

The chair of this event was a Mr Jake Bahrier. Fancy telling Our Bobby to shut up. How very rude. And in a church too. Unforgivable. -

Bravo Bobby! There is no humiliation in expecting an honest answer to an honest question. You asked the question.....they certainly didn't want to answer it. But they will have to answer - because more and more people are going to be asking the exact same thing. -

Some of us have had "no confidence in the current leadership" for quite some time, and signed the petition saying so. -

From that response then, Glenda - can I take it that you will keep a very careful eye on this very convenient "redundancy" process, which is now affecting this already, I should imagine, demoralised department?? I for one, would hate to think that this group suffer any more victimisation, disguised under a cost cutting blanket. -

Take no prisoners, Bobby! The tone of that response was unbelievable. Some folks should never be allowed to utter certain words......Sensible, transparent, accountable are just a few that spring to mind. They clearly have no understanding of what they mean. -

This really isn't adding up for me now. On the 30.8.14, post19, page 1 of this thread, Cllr Chappell states..."I know nothing." On the 2.9.14. post32, page 2 of this thread, Cllr Chappell states..."I already thought I was aware of some of the details." and "Some councillors representing the public were involved." Yet according to the updated HT story (above post) councillors were completely in the dark. Does this mean that they were aware of allegations and never followed them up?? They didn't notice that managers had left their posts?? They were obviously aware of some of the information, yet now want us to believe that they were unaware of any outcome?? I am not so sure I believe that. Concerns were first raised about the implementation of the IT at the heart of this at the beginning of the year, on this forum. Jon Norris, Glenda Powell and Jim Kenyon all commented on this thread....but it seems took all the information available no further.(Other Cllr's had viewed the pages.) Nevertheless, they had read that information. Now Cllr Chappell states, 17.9.14 post 74, page 3 of this thread ..."the victim has to be the one looked after" So if they are the ones who are conveniently made redundant....just how "looked after" will they feel?? Not very, would be my best guess. This ridiculous situation, of I know something, I know nothing, I wasn't told, has quite simply got to stop. Hold up your hands - you have got this very wrong. As a direct result of trying to sweep things under the carpet, people who should not have suffered have - and folks who should have been held to account have been rewarded. It is only when this failure has been acknowledged, can we ever hope to learn from these failings, and endeavour not to go down the same path again. Will we ever know if the victims in this saga are the ones to be made redundant?? I would hope that Cllr's will at least avail themselves of this information. -

And about time too! I also think Hereford Voice should be credited for this story, as it's content seems to have been lifted directly from this thread.
