So many welcome's to you Mole!! I'm so pleased you took up the invitation!! This is what we need.....lots more folks with opinions they are keen to share!!

Evening!! Apart from the odd post on HT,this is the only site I comment on, so I'm completely oblivious to what happens elsewhere!! I have only been posting here myself for a relatively short amount of time. The site, I think, has been up and running for about 4 years, and I signed up last November!! I found it to be pretty welcoming! How do you feel your experience has been???

Police Officer: Sex on duty with crime victims: Allegations
dippyhippy replied to Roger's topic in Police & Crime
Hello there! Reading through this thread again, I get the impression that it's not the fact he was caught with his trousers down that's the problem. (God knows I've made a few regrettable choices in the boudoir department!!) I think it's the vulnerable nature of the women he seemed to go for. We are all capable of making mistakes....but in this instance, he had made this mistake before, and hadn't learnt from it. I guess that could be the sticking point...... -
Thanks for changing the link Megilleland! Hmmm.....if this is the same Andrew Hubble, he'll certainly notice a difference. Going from 865 pupils to under 30!

Hi Megilleland! Could you check the OFSTED link? It won't work for me!!

A little while ago over at HT, a few of us were discussing the Rose Tinted Rags saga. A comment was made which effectively said that there were a few posters who had too much to say for themselves!! I'm thinking I may have been one of them! That said, many of us who have drifted over to HV from HT, (for a number of reasons!) rarely leave a comment on HT, and looking at their page tonight, there are only sixteen comments left, on all of the online stories! Pretty poor! It's a tricky one. The regular bloggers stick their two pence worth in at every opportunity, but without new posters adding their thoughts.....it can become too much! Let's share the load! New Posters, New Ideas!!

This is true Roger, and why many of us remain anonymous! However, I'd still love the silent masses to be more involved . It makes for a more varied and balance forum! C'mon you guys.....just say "Hello!".
-
This is it Flam! There are so many new members, but for a forum like this to thrive, folks need to get on board! I'm hoping my friendly invitation, may entice one or two to say hello!! Honestly folks, we don't bite!!

I find it very strange that The Priory PRU in Leominster has closed, to merge with the St Davids PRU in Hereford, yet absolutely no mention of this has been made in The Hereford Times. I would have thought a restructuring of this significance would be worthy of a mention in the local press. But no. As you say Gdj, the amount of money being lavished on Blackfriars is eyewatering. Yet two PRU'S being condensed onto one, already limited, site, is deemed a great money saving idea.

Well, Aylestone Voice, that narrows the field......!!! -
This is the question! We all know that Our Good King Bobby has retired from blogging....exhausted by his efforts over the past few years! We've all suffered bouts of "The Tappers" over the years, but is it really possible to post too much?? In seven months I've clocked up nigh on 1,100 posts. Beyond ridiculous! This really is a heartfelt plea, to all those who have signed up in the last few months, and indeed, those who have been members for years,(You know who you are...you log in regularly!!) to post your thoughts. Share with the group! This forum is being read by many. The next 12 months are crucial. We want our voice to be heard, but to keep a forum like this vibrant, we need as many views as possible. Too often, there are only a dozen or so who post regularly.....so I ask you politely....Get Involved! Get Busy! and Get Posting!!

Fraudulent banks, utility companies and corrupt courts
dippyhippy replied to megilleland's topic in Open Forum
This is something that should concern many. We all know where this could lead, and it's far from balanced. It will soon be a case of only being spoon fed what the powers that be want us to know. Big Brother will be alive and well........ -
Franklin House is listed isn't it??

State censorship. Now that's a real worry. A real threat to freedom of speech. -

Thanks Bob! With the summer holidays fast approaching, it's such a shame that these open, green spaces have been so neglected. It's making them practically unusable, which is a real pity.- 427 replies

Aylestone Voice, you'll need to be holding up a sign saying: "Waiting patiently for a sticky bun!" You may stand a chance of receiving one then! Ubique, I shall have to take aim, and throw your sticky bun at you! Anything floral at the moment sends my hayfever off the scale!! -

My mind is still boggling from Bobs post that it has taken 22 hours to mow the Bishops Meadow, and it STILL isn't finished!!!! Are they still claiming they are saving us money?? If they are, I would suggest somebody's nose is growing.......!!- 427 replies

Thanks for the information Aylestone Voice, I am home this weekend, so will definitely try to attend! Hi Ubique! Hope the curry went well, and you didn't leave Mrs U. to do all the washing up! -
Hi Colin.....most of this thread is missing, it's the same with the Velodrome thread, the You Don't Deserve Democracy thread, and the I told You It Would Get Worse thread! Any chance the comments and links can be reinstated?? Some of the links in particular, are really useful, and previous posts provide an awful lot of information !! Many thanks in advance!

Petition: Reverse Decision To Reduce Grass Cutting
dippyhippy replied to Colin James's topic in Hereford Voice Projects
Vote IOC.....that's my advice Roger! The only party, in my humble opinion, who are organised and cohesive enough to be a real challenge. The more Jims, Marks and Liz's we have the better. Don't get me wrong, there is some "dead wood' even in IOC. Sharron Michaels would not be missed - you can't miss what you haven't had. But for the most part, they are a strong bunch of individuals with the integrity we so badly need to help et us out of this mess. I would also hope that once in power, they will start to ask then questions we have waited so patiently for answers to. Who has had a substantial pay rise, whilst the restructuring programme has been in full swing ? Why does Balfour Beatty appear to be calling all the shots? Why are we ploughing ahead with this ludicrously expensive and outdated incinerator? And how many hats does Geoff Hughes actually own? This list is by no means exhaustive!!!- 427 replies

Public Exhibition for South Wye Transport Package.
dippyhippy replied to Glenda Powell's topic in Open Forum
I have just noticed that this information that Glenda received from the council newsdesk yesterday, is dated 19th August 2014......unless I am mistaken, wasn't yesterday the 19th June 2014??? Or have I somehow lost 2 months of my life?? In which case, I will have missed the consultation altogether!!
