Personally I'm suspicious when this particular church takes steps to have a former trustee run as a councillor & not declare a link as it makes me think, do they have some other motive? especially when they have had dubious funding from HC in the past? If they did get someone elected then that person would be in a good position to speak favourably for them & possible help in getting them funding for various projects?

could he be a shady character?

Hi chris thanks for explaining, it's very much appreciated.

Hello chris can you tell me if a organisation, company or individual made a donation to a political party would those parties then have to declare who those donors are how much they gave & where they come from?…also would that information be in the public domain??

Considering privatisation is creeping into all aspects of public services it would be of no surprise to see our police forces being run by different big corporate entities that should send alarm bells ring for the entire British public?!…but will it? or will most people just not bat a eyelid & except there fate? -

also a alternative to building lots of new house on green belt land which seems to be a obsession for developers & politicians alike?
-
I agree we do need two new river crossings one east & one west but whether that will happen remains to be seen?
-
Not knocking market day Denise it's just my nickname for it…as I have found memories of coming into Hereford as a child with my grandmother when she'd take me down to look @ all the livestock & mill around all the trade stalls when the market would be thriving on a Wednesday!
-
It's farmer Wednesday they were probable heading for the market? I came through there @ about 7.15 this morning the trailer was on its side & a lot of police but I did not see any sheep so not sure what time the accident happened?
-
Well Sebastian it would make a change to take from the rich & give to the poor, instead of take from the poor & give to the rich!!..... Then I I might believe Dave & George were all in it together! I'm not talking about people's second homes but rather house which have been left to fall into dereliction & boarded up houses. A couple of years ago I was in Liverpool around the Anfield area & there were rows of ornate victorian terrace house a lot of these were boarded up run down & going derelict not all but a lot. If these were renovated & the areas brought back to life I'm sure people would want to live in them?…you could say its a kind of recycling!!

Since the 80's they have sold something like 1.5 million social houses but only built around 300,000.Yet there are around 700,000 empty houses in the UK so I don't see why they can't utilised these.

Yes but we don't have any miners left to strike so we need another organisation to take on there role…perhaps the local authorities employees could don donkey jackets & fill the role of the miners while shouting scabs at the senior management whilst Bobby sings a rendition of Billy Braggs song a New England…after all they are facing more cut backs, job losses & wage freezes??!! -

I remember these from the eighties when I was just a young punk they are a kind of anarchic group! There is a class war waging and we are losing it. The rich are getting richer and the gilded elite who have ruled us since Norman times remain in power and dominate land ownership just as they did when they first robbed it. We live in a feudal society dominated by an oligarchy of privately and Oxbridge educated toffs who run not just the government, banks, diplomacy but the media, music. comedy and even the opposition. We see no difference between any of the parties – we oppose Tristram Hunt with the same venom we hate Zac Goldsmith. . We don’t want to kick the tories out to replace them with Labour or any variety of failed Trots. We don’t want to kick them out at all – we want to kick them in! Started in 1982 CLASS WAR was first a combative, funny, populist anarchist newspaper then mutated into a similar political organisation. We are proud of our past. But 30 years later the same approaches do not work. Endless photos of overseas riots and balaclaved anarchists bring no movement here. The same old same old is getting us nowhere. Time to think and do the unthinkable, to cross the Rubicon. We are standing Class War candidates in the general election on May 7th 2015. We are doing this to launch a furious and co-ordinated political offensive against the ruling class with the opportunity an election gives us to talk politics to our class. We in no way see the election as an alternative to direct action. By the brick and the ballot. We are not talking community politics here. It’s too late for a patient slowbuild like the IWCA. The ruling class have us by the throat -they need a short sharp kick in the bollocks. Our election campaign will use any means necessary. we won’t be ushered away by PR minders – we will make ourselves central to the campaign in a funny, rumbustious combative and imaginative way. We will be on the streets and in their faces. Comrades whatever our yesterdays you are welcome now. Join in. Reject cynicism. Have fun. FULL STEAM AHEAD THROUGH THE ****! -
I may go along AV as I'm interested in asking the candidates where they stand on supporting small business & the self employed!

I went to West Bromwich a couple of years ago & you got off the train & then onto a tram the lines run parallel so I don't see why this could not be the case with a tram system in Hereford?
